Shipping and Returns Policy
Vinditscandit provides this Shipping and Returns Policy to explain how delivery, exchanges, and refunds are handled in accordance with South African law.
1. Shipping & Delivery
- Delivery Areas: We deliver throughout South Africa. Certain remote areas may be excluded or subject to additional delivery charges.
- Delivery Times: Standard delivery takes approximately 5 business days, depending on your location. Delivery times are estimates and not guaranteed unless expressly stated.
- Delivery Fees: Shipping costs are calculated at checkout and displayed before payment. Free delivery may apply if your order meets certain promotional conditions.
- Tracking: Once dispatched, you will receive tracking details via email/SMS (if applicable).
- Risk & Ownership: Risk of loss or damage passes to you once the product is delivered to your specified address. Ownership transfers once full payment has been received.
2. Returns & Exchanges
We comply with the Consumer Protection Act (CPA), which gives you the right to return goods under certain conditions:
2.1. Returns for Defective or Damaged Goods
- You may return defective or damaged goods within 6 months of purchase.
- At our discretion, we will repair, replace, or refund the product, unless the defect is due to misuse or normal wear and tear.
- Returns must be accompanied by proof of purchase (e.g., invoice or order confirmation).
2.2. Returns for Unwanted Goods (Cooling-off Period)
- In terms of the ECTA, you may cancel an online order within 7 days of delivery without penalty (cooling-off period).
- Products must be returned unused, in original packaging, and in a resaleable condition.
- Certain goods are excluded, such as custom-made or personalised items.
- You will be responsible for return shipping costs unless the product is defective.
2.3. Exchanges
- Exchanges are subject to stock availability.
- If an exchange is not possible, a refund or store credit will be offered.
3. Refunds
- Refunds will be processed within 7–14 business days after inspection of the returned product.
- Refunds are made to the original payment method unless otherwise agreed.
- Delivery charges are non-refundable unless the return is due to our error or a defective product.
